The freshman recorded ten birdies across 36 holes on the day, in addition to an eagle on hole no. 4 in round two. Jordan Gilkison continued a strong start to his senior season by firing consecutive rounds under par on Monday. He utilized an eagle on the par-4 hole no. 10 to finish round one at 1-under-par before capping off his day with a consistent four-birdie, one-bogey performance in round two. Gilkison is seeking a second consecutive top ten finish to open his season, currently tied for ninth place at 4-under-par entering round three.

Acevedo is tied for 44th place at 9-over-par entering Tuesday's third round.
