KENT, Ohio – Head coach Jon Mills has announced that Alejandro Perazzo will serve as assistant coach for the Kent State men's golf program. Perazzo joins the Golden Flashes after serving as a junior golf coach at the Golfzon Leadbetter Academy.
Prior to beginning his coaching career at the Leadbetter Academy, Perazzo played professional golf in mini-tour events, including the Dakotas Tour, and participated in qualifying events for the PGA TOUR Americas.
Perazzo played collegiate golf at South Dakota State University from 2015 to 2019. He helped the Jackrabbits win back-to-back Summit League Championships in 2016 and 2017. Perazzo also possesses an impressive junior golf record, including victories at the 2012 South American Junior Individual and the 2013 and 2014 Venezuela National Junior Golf Championships.
"I am really excited to be adding Alejandro to our staff," Mills said. "With his experience playing professional golf and working with juniors at the Leadbetter Academy, he brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the program."
The Golden Flashes 2024-25 season continues on September 30, as they take part in the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The three-day event will feature both Kent State's men's and women's golf teams and will be televised live on the Golf Channel.
