KENT, Ohio - The Kent State women's golf team is set for their second tournament of the Spring as they head to Sarasota, Florida, for the Spartan Sun Coast Collegiate Invitational.Â

Notes:
-Â Â Â Kent State opened the Spring season two weeks ago at the Puerto Rico Classic, where they finished 17th out of a loaded field of 18 teams, including eight ranked in the scoreboard top 25. The Flashes concluded the event with a 37-over-par 901.
-Â Â Â A big highlight for the Flashes in their spring opener was the play of Gracie Larsen, who earned her first MAC Golfer of the Week award. The freshman fired three consecutive rounds of 74 or better to lead the Flashes at 3-over-par.
-Â Â Â Through 18 rounds of play this season, Veronika Kedronova leads the Flashes with a scoring average of 72.83. The sophomore recorded the second and third individual wins of her career in the Fall.
-Â Â Â Aryn Matthews returns to the Kent State lineup after a Fall season that saw her earn two top 15 finishes, boasting a scoring average of 75.47.
-Â Â Â Junior Leon Takagi, a two-time individual MAC Champion, remains in the Kent State lineup after firing back-to-back rounds of 74 to conclude her tournament at the Puerto Rico Classic.
-Â Â Â Petra Babicova enters the Flashes' lineup after appearing as an individual at the Puerto Rico Classic. The freshman improved as the opening tournament of the Spring commenced, posting scores of 82, 76, and 74.
