Kent State Sweeps High Jump on Saturday at Jud Logan Light Giver Open

ASHLAND, Ohio – Redshirt junior Grace Adegoke and senior Liam Vinskovich were victorious in the high jump as the Kent State track and field teams finished competition at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open on Saturday.
Adegoke won the women's competition with a season-best height of 5'-6.5" and Vinskovich recorded a winning clearance of 6'-9.75" in the men's competition. Sophomore Zane Cattage matched his personal-best height of 6'-6.75" and placed third.
Junior Keeli Dunaway also earned a victory on Saturday, taking first in the women's long jump with a mark of 18'-8.5".
The Golden Flashes placed four in the top 10 of the women's 800-meter run. Graduate student Jericha Petrella led the way in third with a time of 2:11.78 and senior Anna Jones placed fourth in 2:14.46. Sophomore Ella Baker also posted a fourth-place finish in the women's 400-meter dash with a PR of 56.17 seconds. Junior Dylan McBride finished fifth in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.31.
Fifth-year Aliesha Shaw and redshirt sophomore Charles Pawlosky have good showings in the shot put elite competitions. Shaw was the top collegian in the women's field with a throw of 49'-10" to finish second overall. Pawlosky took fourth in the men's competition with a mark of 55'-3.75"
The Flashes will host the Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Kent State Field House.
