
Dunn Breaks Single-Season Rebounding Record in MAC Semis Loss

CLEVELAND — Kent State lost to top-seeded Ball State, 70-53, in a Mid-American Conference Women's Basketball Tournament semifinal contest at Rocket Arena on Friday.
Bridget Dunn grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds, giving the senior 332 on the season to break the previous record of 331 set by Marvetta Froe during the 1989-90 campaign.
Senior Jenna Batsch was the top scorer with 14 points, as she extended her streak of double-digit scoring performances to 32 games. Sophomores Janae Tyler and Mya Babbitt were also in double-figures with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
Kent State hopes to participate in postseason play for the fourth year in a row and awaits Sunday evening's tournament field announcements from the WBIT and WNIT.
