
Golden Flashes to Host Robert Morris for Single Game on Tuesday

The Kent State softball team will return to Devine Diamond on Tuesday for a single non-conference game against Robert Morris. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Admission to all games at Devine Diamond is free. Fans who are unable to make it to the field, live stats and video streams on BoxCast will be available for all games.
About the Flashes
Junior Carley Penner led Kent State during this past weekend's series at Bowling Green with multiple hits in all three games and a .583 batting average. Senior Savannah Wing had a hit in each game and led the way with four RBIs.
Senior Delaney Robeson leads the lineup in most hitting categories, including hits (35), batting average (.385), slugging percentage (.560), home runs (3) and RBIs (27).
Junior Brynn Libler is having her best season in a Golden Flashes uniform and is batting .309 with a team-high 21 runs scored. Senior Katie Jo Moery, who collected the 100th hit of her college career during the seventh inning on Saturday, leads Kent State with eight doubles and is second on the team with 18 RBIs.
Freshman Ella Johnson (3-4) ranks fourth in the country with 26 appearances and is tied for fourth in the MAC with 43 strikeouts.
Scouting the Opposition
Robert Morris (11-9) is playing is best ball of the season and enters with a seven-game winning streak. Mary Brant and Courtney Poulich are the co-Horizon League leaders with five home runs each. Brant has a team-high .373 batting average and 17 RBIs, while Poulich is hitting .345 with 18 RBIs. Madison DeVault (4-4) is the ace of the pitching staff with six complete games and 47 strikeouts.
Series History
Kent State is 18-12 all-time against Robert Morris. Most recently, the Colonials won both games of a home doubleheader (4-1, 5-3) during the 2023 season. The Golden Flashes took both games of a doubleheader that last time the teams met in Kent during the 2019 season (11-3, 7-0).

Kent State will return to action next Tuesday, April 1 with a doubleheader at Ohio.
