KENT, Ohio – Kent State lost to Robert Morris, 12-4, Tuesday afternoon at Devine Diamond.
A five-run top of the second helped the visiting Colonials lead 8-0 entering the bottom of the fifth. A leadoff single by sophomore Aaralyn Nogay and pair of walks loaded the bases with two outs, and an error allowed Nogay and junior Maddy Miklesh to score.
After Robert Morris scored two in the top of the sixth, the Golden Flashes answered in the bottom half of the inning with a pair of runs on Miklesh's double down the left field line.
The Colonials added two final runs in the top of the seventh.
Kent State (7-23) will return to action next Tuesday, April 1 with a doubleheader at Ohio.
