
Malanda Earns First MAC Field Athlete of the Week Award of Outdoor Season

CLEVELAND – Kent State senior Alexandre Malanda has been named Mid-American Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Malanda holds a No. 8 national ranking in the triple jump following an outstanding performance at the Texas Relays. The Paris native recorded a new outdoor PR of 52'-4", which puts him at No. 5 on the Golden Flashes' all-time outdoor performance list.
Kent State will be in action at the Dave Labor Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock University, this weekend.
