KENT, Ohio – The Kent State women's golf team is set for their first official tournament in the state of Ohio this weekend at the Buckeye Invitational. It is the Flashes' final event before they look to make it 26 consecutive MAC Championships from April 20 through 22 in Muncie, Indiana.

Notes:
- The Golden Flashes have been a staple in the Buckeye Invitational, competing in the event every year of the program's existence except for 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 and 2004. Kent State has won the tournament five times, most recently in 2019. The Flashes finished sixth among 12 teams competing at last year's edition of the event.
- In the Flashes' last outing at the Florida State Match-Up, Veronika Kedronova led the Flashes with her sixth top-ten finish of the season, highlighted by a second-round 69. The sophomore leads Kent State with a 72.85 scoring average and 11 rounds of par or better this season.
- Leon Takagi posted her best finish of the season in the Flashes' last event at the Florida State Match-Up, tying for 17th to earn her first top-20 finish of 2024-2025. The Junior, who won the individual MAC Championship in 2024, is rounding into form as she looks to defend her conference crown next weekend in Muncie.
- Gracie Larsen remains in the Kent State lineup, appearing in all nine team events this season as a freshman for the Flashes up to this point. Larsen finished tied for 34th at the Florida State Match-Up, earning a 72 in round two for her fifth round of par or better this season.
- Isabella Goyette finished the Florida State Match-Up strongly, posting her fourth round of par or better this season in round three with a 72. The freshman tied for 32nd in the event, her fourth top-35 finish of her freshman season.
- Aryn Matthews rounds out the trio of Kent State freshmen who have appeared together in most events this season. Matthews concluded the Florida State Match-Up tied for 59th in her last outing.
