PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State has 56 student-athletes registered to compete this weekend in Durham.
This is the first outdoor meet of the season that the Golden Flashes will compete in multis events. Ayden Bath, Joel Enander and Mason Murphy are entered in the men's decathlon and Svenia De Coninck and Shelby Grover are entered in the women's heptathlon.
Kent State will have three competitors who own national top-50 rankings in action. Jaheim Jones is 26th in the men's 100-meter dash and 27th in the men's 200-meter dash. Keeli Dunaway ranks 40th in the women's triple jump after opening the season with a personal-best at the Texas Relays. Kristen Jay is 50th in the women's javelin after a throw of 156' that is just outside of a Kent State top-10 all-time mark in her collegiate debut at the Dave Labor Invitational last weekend.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Flashes will travel to the 55th Sparky Adams Invitational at Baldwin Wallace University for action on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.
