CANTON, Ohio – On Thursday, July 31, Kent State University student-athletes volunteered at the Pro Football Hall of Fame's annual fan festival as part of their enshrinement weekend.
The Blue and Gold was represented at the event by 69 total student-athletes from men's and women's basketball, soccer, field hockey, and track & field.
"It was an incredible opportunity for our student-athletes to give back and be part of an impactful event," said Associate Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Support Services Amy Densevich. "Volunteering at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan Fest allowed for them to connect with the community, celebrate the game's history, and represent Kent State with pride."
"Fan Fest was an amazing chance for us to connect with the community in such a fun way," Lucy Keeler of field hockey said. "Seeing the kids light up and getting to share the day with them made it really meaningful for all of us student-athletes."
"It was fun to be around the environment of the Hall of Fame and help the kids," said Rob Whaley Jr. of men's basketball. "Everyone had a great experience."
Kent State has maintained a strong presence throughout the Hall of Fame's Enshrinement festivities as ongoing coverage of Kent State Men's Basketball alumnus Antonio Gates' entrance into the Hall as a member of the 2025 class.
