Notes:
- At last year's inaugural Canadian Collegiate, the Flashes finished fourth among ten teams competing at 11-under-par, six strokes behind defending champion Notre Dame. Isaiah Ibit had the best performance of his freshman season in Ontario last Fall, posting three consecutive rounds in the 60s en route to a 12-under-par 204, the lowest 54-hole score recorded by a Kent State golfer in the 2024-25 season.
- Kent State's team lineup remains unchanged from the season-opening Pan Pacific University Golf Super League in Japan last week, with the addition of James Newton as an individual. The Flashes finished the event in fifth among the 12 squads competing in the rain-shortened event, led by a 1-under-par 36-hole score from Ibit, who finished in ninth place individually.
- Ibit unsurprisingly led the Flashes with the team's low score in Japan, a 1-under-par 141 powered by an opening-round 68. Just one tournament into his sophomore season, Ibit has tallied team-highs of 20 rounds of par or better and 14 rounds in the 60s in his career.
- Christoffer Leuenhagen impressed for Kent State in his collegiate debut in Japan. The freshman from Denmark began the event with a 1-under-par 70 in round one, joining Ibit as the only Flashes with a round under par in the season-opener. After a 4-over-par 75 in round two, Leuenhagen concluded the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League at 3-over-par and tied for 15th place.
- Liam Curtis also had a strong debut for the Flashes in Japan. The other half of Kent State's freshman contingent, Curtis fired the Flashes' lowest round two score last week at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League, traversing adverse weather conditions to card a 1-over-par 72. Curtis finished the tournament at 6-over-par, tied for 21st.
- Sophomores Ramiro Acevedo and Nolan Haynes both return to the Kent State lineup in Ontario. Acevedo opened the season with a 7-over-par 149 to finish tied for 27th at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League, while Haynes posted an 11-over-par 153 to tie for 35th.
- James Newton is slated to make his first appearance of the 2025-26 season at the Canadian Collegiate. One of two seniors on Kent State's roster, Newton had his best performance of 2024-25 at last Fall's Canadian Collegiate, where he finished tied for eighth at 6-under-par. Newton's second-round 66 was the joint-lowest round by a Kent State golfer last season.
