
Kent State Volleyball Falls in Weekend Finale at North Dakota State

FARGO, N.D. – Kent State lost to host North Dakota State, 3-0 (20-25, 19-25, 21-25), in its final match of the weekend on Saturday.
Led by sophomore Nadia Miller, the Golden Flashes (4-5) totaled a season-best 10 aces against the Bison. Miller served a career-high four aces, while senior Mackenzie McGuire and sophomore Lesley Furuta added two each.
Kent State started strong in all three sets but were unable to maintain a rhythm offensively and finished with a .120 hitting percentage.
McGuire led the Flashes with 10 kills and seven digs. Junior Mercedez Brown added seven kills and junior Christina Vigil totaled 19 assists.
Kent State will remain in Northeast Ohio for the final weekend of non-conference action with matches at Cleveland State on Sept. 18 and Youngstown State on Sept. 19.
