
Klatt Earns MAC Player of the Week Honors After Record-Setting Performance

CLEVELAND – Kent State sophomore Emory Klatt has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Klatt was nearly perfect from the field during the week, making her first 16 field goals attempts and shooting 18-of-19 overall for an incredible 94.7-percent while posting averages of 23.0 points and 9.0 rebounds during a pair of Golden Flashes victories. She had nearly as many points (46) as minutes played (48).
The forward started the week with 17 points and 12 rebounds, both career-highs at the time, and shot a perfect 7-of-7 against Ohio, which entered the contest unbeaten in conference play.
Klatt followed with 29 points as part of a record-setting performance against rival Akron on Saturday. She made her first nine shots of the day and finished 11-of-12 to set the Kent State single-game field goal percentage record (.917)
The Flashes have won three in a row and will be back in action at Buffalo on Saturday.
