
Kent State Records Nine Top Three Finishes at Meyo Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Kent State totaled nine top three finishes during competition at the Meyo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Two Golden Flashes — Ayden Bath and Sean Callahan Jr. — raced to victories on the meet's second day. Bath won the men's 60-meter hurdles in 7.83 seconds, shortly after clocking a personal-best time of 7.82 in the prelims that is fourth on the program's all-time performance list. Callahan Jr. was victorious in the men's 60-meter dash for the second time this season with a time of 6.75 seconds.
Gabrielle Hammonds led the second-place finishers in the women's 60m hurdles with a PR of 8.55 seconds that puts her fifth in Kent State history. Zamen Siyoum took second in the men's 60m hurdles in 8.02 seconds. Amare Hall recorded an indoor personal-best in the men's long jump for the second week in a row and soared 24'-4.50".
The Flashes totaled four third-place finishes. Amryne Chilton ran a PR of 54.91 seconds in the women's 400-meter dash, a time that ranks fourth on the school's all-time performance list. Micah Coates clocked in with a season-best time of 48.16 seconds in the men's 400m dash. Ryan Gruss posted a time of 6.80 seconds in the men's 60m dash.
Evan Graessle, Coates, Connor Boland and Owen Miller took third in the men's 4x400-meter relay with a MAC-leading time of 3:14.97.
Baidy Ba ran the second fastest men's 3,000-meter run time in program history and crossed the finish line in 8:05.05 for 10th place.
Kent State will be back in action at the Kent State Field House for the Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7.
