
Track and Field Returns to Kent State Field House for Doug Raymond Invitational

The Kent State track and field program will compete at the Kent State Field House for the final time this season and hosts the Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Admission is $10 each day and fans are encouraged to purchase ahead of time at KSUTix.com.
The men's heptathlon starts the meet at 12 p.m. on Friday. Field events will get underway with the women's high jump at 2 p.m. The women's mile is the first running event of the weekend at 5:45 p.m. Action on Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. with the women's shot put, men's pile vault and women's triple jump.
Prior to competition on Saturday, Kent State will recognize its senior class during a brief ceremony beginning at 10 a.m.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Among the 73 student-athletes entered for competition, seven are ranked in the top 100 nationally in their events. Sean Callahan Jr. is the highest ranked Golden Flash at 43rh in the men's 60-meter dash. Kyla Taress leads the women at 78th in the pole vault. Other ranked entrants for the weekend are Desmond Boyd (men's weight throw), Luigi Case (men's long jump), Amare Hall (men's long jump), Lanee Hall (women's triple jump) and Charles Pawlosky (men's shot put).
Kent State's has athletes entered in the multis events for the first time this season. On the men's side, Ayden Bath, Jack Dillen, Joel Enander, Mason Murphy and Linkon Tyrrell will compete in the heptathlon. The women will be represented by Matilde Carboncini, Svenia De Coninck, Keeli Dunaway, Shelby Grover and Alexa Nestor in the pentathlon.
