
Ba and Musgrave Lead Kent State at YSU Last Chance Invite

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Baidy Ba won the men's mile and Casey Musgrave clocked the eighth fastest women's 400-meter dash time in program history to lead Kent State in action at the YSU Last Chance Invitational on Friday.
Ba crossed the finish line more than nine seconds ahead of the runner-up with a season-best time of 4:05.12, which only three other Golden Flashes have ever completed the event in less time.
Musgrave placed second in the 400m with a time of 55.01 seconds.
Kent State had a strong showing in the men's weight throw, as Desmond Boyd Jr. took second and Donovan Crawford took third. Boyd's best attempt of the day went 62'-10.5", while Crawford had a top throw of 62'-7.75".
In the women's long jump, Ally Schindler placed fourth with a personal-best mark of 18'-1.75".
Michael Hanselman was the Flashes' final top-five finisher of the meet and was fifth in the men's 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:57.52.
Kent State will compete at the Akron Invitational next Friday, Feb. 20.
