Takagi, Kedronova Lead Golden Flashes to Fifth Place Finish at Spartan Suncoast

SARASOTA, Fla. – Leon Takagi and Veronika Kedronová recorded top-10 finishes to lead the Kent State Dr. Paula Treckel women's golf team to a T-5 finish at the Spartan Suncoast Invitational at Palm Aire Country Club.
Takagi played a steady three rounds, limiting big numbers to just two holes while totaling 12 birdies against 10 bogeys. She finished T-5 at 2-over par for the tournament and opened each day under par, carding 1-under in Sunday's first round and 2-under in Monday's final round.
Kedronová delivered an early highlight with an eagle on her eighth hole of the tournament and finished T-8 at 3-over par, posting one eagle and 10 birdies over 54 holes.
Northwestern claimed both titles, finishing at 20-over par as a team, while Dianna Lee led the Wildcats with medalist honors at 4-under par.
