
Track and Field in Action at Louisville, Ashland for Final April Weekend

The Kent State track and field teams will close the month of April with student-athletes scheduled to compete at the University of Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational from Thursday through Saturday and the Ashland Alumni Open on Friday and Saturday.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State has 59 total student-athletes entered for competition this weekend.
The Flashes have 42 athletes headed to the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational. Lanee Hall is the highest-ranked athlete who will be in action at Louisville and is 44th on the national performance list in the women's triple jump after recording a personal-best mark of 42'-4" two weeks ago at the Spec Towns Invitational. Sean Callahan Jr. headlines entrants in running events and is the Mid-American Conference leader in the men's 100-meter dash in addition to being part of the record-setting men's 4x100-meter relay team.
The majority of Kent State's 17 athletes going to Ashland will compete in throwing events.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Flashes will be back in action to the Jesse Owens Classic in Columbus on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.
