MUNCIE, Ind. – Amryne Chilton set two Kent State records and one meet record while sprinting to a pair of gold medals on Saturday as competition closed at the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Track and Field Championships.
In her first individual race of the day, Chilton crossed the finish line in 11.37 seconds to break the previous 100-meter dash MAC meet record that was set in 2007. The junior then dusted the field in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.04 seconds, which bested the Golden Flashes program she set back in April by .02 seconds. Chilton initially had a third gold in the 4x100-meter relay to start the day, but the team was later disqualified for finishing in the wrong lane. Along with Marinna Atanmo, Ella Baker and Casey Musgrave, she finished third in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:41.33 to end her busy day on the track.
Ainhoa Reparaz Sanchez also beat the previous meet record in the 100m and placed third with a personal-best time of 11.47 seconds. Reparaz Sanchez, who held the Kent State record in the event at the start of the day, now sits second in the Flashes record book.
Kent State took second in both hurdles races. Gabrielle Hammonds moved up to third on the program's all-time performance list in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.55 seconds. Marinna Atanmo ran a PR of 58.68 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles and ranks fourth in school history.
Lanee Hall was the final Flash to earn all-conference honors and placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 42'-3.5" that was just short of her personal-best.
Grace Alls finished fourth in the 400m in 54.20 seconds, which puts her at No. 7 on KSU's all-time performance list in the event, and Casey Musgrave took sixth in 54.28 seconds.
Keeli Dunaway scored in a pair of events. Dunaway placed sixth in the 100m hurdles (14.05) and seventh in the triple jump (45'-1.25").
Grace Adegoke and Laila Eiland were the Flashes' final scorers of the meet with sixth-place performances in their events. Adegoke cleared 5'-5.5" in the high jump and Eiland clocked 23.67 seconds in the 200m.
Kent State finished second in the team standings with 113.5 points.
Athletes who rank in the top 48 in the region will compete at the NCAA East Preliminary in Lexington, Kentucky from May 27-30.
