Kent State Announces 2026 Field Hockey Promo Schedule

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State field hockey team has announced the 2026 promotional schedule.
In addition to 10 regular season contests at Murphy-Mellis Field, fans will have an opportunity to cheer the Golden Flashes during an exhibition contest against Slippery Rock on Sunday, Aug. 23. Admission to all games is free.
September 11 vs. Michigan State – Military and First Responder Day
Current and former members of the military and emergency service workers in attendance will be recognized, and all fans can grab a free 2026 schedule poster.
September 13 vs. Delaware – Youth Day
Local youth teams are invited to Murphy-Mellis Field and free Kent State-branded blue Pit Viper sunglasses will be available for fans in attendance.
September 18 vs. Central Michigan – International Student Game
Celebrate the diverse cultures that come together on the field hockey pitch with free candy and mini flags from each of the countries represented on Kent State's roster.
September 20 vs. Bucknell – Cancer Awareness Game
Fans will receive a free 'Cancer Awareness' t-shirt to wear in support of the fight against all cancers. Team members will wear ribbon colors in support of someone they know who is battling the disease.
September 25 vs. UMass – Team Impact Game
Join us to celebrate our own Arianna and all of the amazing Team Impact team members across Kent State Athletics.
October 2 vs. Bellarmine – Alumnae Day
All former Flashes are invited back to Murphy-Mellis Field with members of the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Mid-American Conference Tournament championship teams recognized prior to the game.
October 9 vs. Ball State – Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game
Most Valuable Professors will be recognized prior to the game, and fans can grab a free Kent State knit cap.
October 11 vs. Penn State – Morgan's Message Game
Help us spread Morgan's Message and eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health. Fans will receive a free mental health awareness t-shirt.
October 18 vs. App State – Everyone Watches Kent State Women's Sports
A free "Everyone Watches Kent State Women's Sports" t-shirt will be given to fans in attendance.
October 25 vs. Ohio State – Senior Day
Celebrate our seniors and cheer the Flashes against a Big Ten opponent.
