2008-09 Senior Season
Cross Country - Earned Second-Team All-MAC accolades after taking 10th at the MAC Championships in 24:59.5, a season personal-best time...captured second place at the Mel Brodt Invitational with a time of 26:06.7...earned MAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors for his performance at the Mel Brodt...named to Academic All-MAC Team.
Indoor Track and Field - Captured Second-Team All-MAC honors thanks to a second-place performance of 4:08.61 in the mile run at the conference finals, his best time of the season...also took third at the MAC Championships in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:52.21...responsible for the team's best time in the mile run thanks to a 4:07.79 at the Tyson Invitational...recorded the team's second-best time in the 800-meter run at the Kent State Tune-Up with a 1:50.69-finish, ranking third all-time in school history...also member of the distance medley relay team that shattered the school record in the event by clocking a 9:32.05...the DMR team also qualified for the NCAA Championships where they turned in a 9:42.61-finish...named Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention.
Outdoor Track and Field - Qualified for the NCAA Mid-East Regional twice in the 1,500-meter run...timed in at 3:50.69 for eighth place in the final of the regional following a 3:48.65 finish for eighth in the preliminaries of the 1,500-meter run...won the MAC title in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:45.20, setting a new course record at Akron's Lee Jackson Field and ranking second in school history...also took fourth in the 800-meter run at the MAC Championships by clocking a 1:51.97...posted a regional qualifying time at the All-Ohio Championships with a winning time of 3:46.27...posted a season personal-best time of 8:43.69 in winning the 3,000-meter run at the Northeast Ohio Quad...member of the distance medley relay squad that set a new school standard in the event with a time of 9:45.31 at the Drake Relays...named to Academic All-MAC Team...was selected to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV University Men's Track & Field/Cross Country and United States Track & Field And Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic teams.
2007-08 Junior Season
During the Indoor Season - Earned second team all-Mid-American Confernce honors after running the anchor leg of theGolden Flashes’ distance medley relay team that finished second overallwith a time of 9:59.02 at the 2008 MAC Indoor Track and FieldChampionships…ran an indoor-best 4:11.47 in the mile atthe Eastern Michigan Classic…registered a season-best indoor mark inthe 3,000 meters (8:39.01) versus Youngstown State…placed second in themile run at the MAC Championships, posting a time of 4:16.93…alsoparticipated on KSU’s distance medley relay team, helping the unit timein at 9:59.02 to finish second at the same meet…recorded a season-best8:39.01 in the 3,000 meters at the Youngstown State Dual…registered aseason-best time of 4:11.47 in the mile at the Eastern Michigan Classic.
During the Outdoor Season - Notched a team-best and season-high 1:52.87 in the 800 meters at the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships to finish second overall to earn second team all-MAC honors…registered a team season-best time of 3:52.81 in the 1,500 meters at the Duke Invitational…won the 1,500 meters at the Campbell/Wright Invitational with a time of 3:57.76…placed second in the mile run at the MAC Championships, posting a time of 4:16.93…also participated on KSU’s distance medley relay team, helping the unit time in at 9:59.02 to finish second overall at the same meet…registered a season-best in the 3,000 meters (8:36.47) at the Akron Quad…named to the 2008 Academic All-MAC Outdoor Track and Field Team.
2006-07 Sophomore Season
Indoor Track and Field - Finished fourth in the MAC, running themile in 4:04.47...recorded the field’s best time in the mile at theSykes-Sabock with a time of 4:10.52...was a part of Kent State’snationally-ranked distance medley relay squad...finished eighth in the mile at the MeyoInvitational, running it in 4:05.26...opened the season with a pair ofsecond-place finishes in the 800 meter against Akron (1:54.42) and themile against Ohio State (4:10.67).
Outdoor Track and Field - Grabbed fourth-place in the 1,500-meter run in 3:55.85 and finished sixth in the 800 meters (1:53.82) at the MAC Championships...won the 1,500 meters at the Campbell-Wright Open in 3:49.80...earned a top finish in the 800 meters (1:55.71) at the Akron Quad...finished first in the 1,500 meters in 3:52.28 at the Texas Relays...took eighth at the Arizona State Invitational in the 800 meters in 1:52.06.
2005-06 Freshman Season
Indoor Track and Field - Had an impressive indoorseason, stepping up in the middle distance and relay events, making hispresence known in the MAC...took third in the mile run at the indoorMAC Championships, clocking a time of 4:13.96...ran a season-best timein the mile at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge, where he was fourth in4:12.72...had a season-best time of 1:53.28 in the 800 meters at theNebraska Triangular, finishing second...at the Akron Dual, he was firstin the mile run in 4:17.65...finished first at the Black SquirrelClassic, running the 800 meters in 1:53.86.
Outdoor Track and Field - At the MAC Championships, finished seventh in the finals (1:56.17), as well as fourth in the 1500 meters (3:54.25)...member of the 10th place DMR team (9:55.03) and the 10th place 4x800 relay team (7:37.67) at the Penn Relays...recorded a season-best time and finished first in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.55 at the Northeast Ohio Invitational...had a season-best in the 1500 meters in a time of 3:52.78 and a 13th place finish at the Sea Ray Relays, and was a part of the DMR squad which won the title...placed second at the All-Ohio Championships in the 800 meters in a time of 1:56.87.
Prior to Kent State
Competed in state championship competition in three sports (cross country, soccer, and track and field) in one year…as a senior at Lexington, he earned the titles first team All-Conference, All-District, All-Region and was fourth in the state in the 1600 meters...holds the LHS cross country (15:35) and mile (4:11.95) records…also a member of the Minutemen’s 4x800 relay team record holders…crowned as a regional champion as a junior (cross country) and senior (mile)…his soccer team was the District and Regional Champs, as well as state semifinalists…had a total of eight varsity letters in soccer (2), cross country (2) and track (4)...competed at the A.A.U. National Meet in 2002 and 2003…Member of the National Honor Society.
