Cody Hunsicker begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Kent State field hockey program in 2022.
Hunsicker spent four years at Lafayette as a player, earning All-Patriot League second-team honors as a senior in 2017. She was a three-year starter and team captain for the Leopards. She also participated in Lafayette's Oaks Leadership Academy for three years and was named a 2018 Oaks Leadership Academy Leader of Distinction.
The Myerstown, Pa., native joins the Golden Flashes after spending two years as a Graduate Assistant for the University of New Haven where she helped the Chargers to a Northeast-10 Conference semifinal appearance. Prior to her time with New Haven, Hunsicker spent two years as an assistant coach for Washington College where she oversaw the defensive unit.
In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, she has a multitude of club coaching involvement. Hunsicker has been coaching club since 2019. She has been the head coach for HTC Field Hockey Club since 2020 and was an assistant for SPark Field Hockey Club from 2019-20. She also coached for the USA Field Hockey Futures Program.
