One of only three seniors on the offensive line, Matuschek enters the fall third on the depth chart at right guard...one of the strongest lineman on the team and a good pass protector...coaches believe he has found a home at guard.

2006 Sophomore Season
Did not see game action due to injury.
2005 Redshirt Freshman Season
Sat out per NCAA guidelines after transferring from Pittsburgh.
Prior to Kent State
Spent one year as a walk-on defensive lineman at Pittsburgh...played senior year at Valley Forge Military Academy...played high school football at Penn Hills...led team to WPIAL semifinals as a junior, with team going 10-2...earned first team all-conference and East Elite honors as a junior...totaled 86 tackles, seven sacks and three forced fumbles...had a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown in the playoffs...was a three-year football letterwinner...Played for Neil Gordon at Penn Hills...also played basketball, and while at Valley Forge guarded and held the Chicago Bulls’ Joakim Noah (then playing at Lawrenceville Prep) to six points.
