After a solid sophomore campaign, Ishmaa’ily Kitchen is expected to take over the starting duties at defensive tackle.
2009 Sophomore Season
Played in all 12 games, recording 13 stops…also had 2.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack.
2008 Redshirt Freshman Season
Appeared in all 12 contests on the defensive line…compiled 17 tackles…posted a season-best four tackles, including three solo stops, at Louisiana-Lafayette Sept. 20.
2007 Freshman Season
Redshirted.
Prior to Kent State
Twice named to All-Ohio, All-Steel Valley Conference and All-Northeast Ohio District teams while at Cardinal Mooney High School…helped lead Cardinals to state championships in 2004 and 2006…team posted a 48-4 record in his career.
