Recorded 138 total tackles in his high school career at Beechcroft High School…also intercepted four passes, forced five fumbles, recovered 10 fumbles and scored two defensive touchdowns…as a senior, made 69 stops, picked off two passes and recovered seven fumbles…named to all-city, all-district and all-metro as a senior, helping the Cougars to a City League North Division championship…also lettered in basketball and track and field…was coached by Tom Dunlap.
