Kent State Track & Field Releases 2012 Schedule

KENT, Ohio -- Seventh-year Kent State director of track & field Bill Lawson announced the release of the 2012 schedule Thursday (Oct. 13).
The women's team will be seeking its third straight outdoor Mid-American Conference crown and second indoor title in three seasons while the men's team looks to build upon second-place finishes at both the indoor and outdoor conference meets.
Kent State's indoor campaign is highlighted by five home meets at the Kent State Field House -- including the annual dual meet against Akron, which includes the added twist of being part of the PNC Wagon Wheel Challenge. The outdoor campaign is highlighted by trips to Texas, California and Iowa.
The MAC Indoor Championships will be held Feb. 24-25 in Akron, Ohio, while the outdoor finals will take place May 10-12 in Mount Pleasant, Mich. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held March 9-10 in Boise, Idaho, while the outdoor championships will be held June 6-9 in Des Moines, Iowa.
