
Flashes Head to Dave Labor Invitational for Second Outdoor Track and Field Weekend

The Kent State track and field teams will compete in their second meet of the outdoor season and travel to Slippery Rock University for the Dave Labor Invitational this weekend.
The meet begins on Friday with hammer throw, pole vault and distance races. The remaining events will be held on Saturday.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State has 40 student-athletes entered for competition this weekend.
Kristen Jay headlines the group and is ranked 43rd nationally in the women's javelin after throwing a personal-best 158'-11" at the Raleigh Relays last weekend. Peyton Shippee, who won the event at the MAC Championships last year, will make his season debut in the men's javelin.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes will have athletes competing at three different meets — hosted by Akron, Georgia and USF — next week.
