Golden Flashes Indoor Track and Field Teams Set For Weekend Competitions

Kent State's indoor track and field teams will have athletes competing at both the Meyo Invitational and the Akron Invitational this weekend, Friday Feb. 7 and Saturday Feb. 8.
Splitting the team in half, the Golden Flashes will see 18 athletes travel to South Bend led by Dior Delophont who sits first in the Mid-American Conference and is third in the nation in the high jump with a mark of 6' 05" (1.84m). Delophont is joined by Ann Marie Duffus, as Duffus leads the MAC in the 60-meter hurdles (8.38) as well William Barnes, who is third in the MAC in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.93.
Kent State has 28 athletes taking on the track and field at the Akron Invitational as the men are led by Cory Miller, who is fifth in the MAC in the Pole Vault with a jump of 16' 6.75" and Julian Meyer who is fifth in the 5,000-meter run in the MAC with a time of 14:55.88. Rebecca Herte leads the women as she takes on pole vault with a jump of 12' 3.5".
Kent State next travels to the Fred Wilt Invitational on February 15 in West Lafayette, Ind. hosted by Purdue University.
