Erickson Sets School's Long Jump Record on Final Day of Tennessee Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Roseanne Erickson sets Kent State's women's long jump record as the women's track and field finished the final day of the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville, Tennessee Sat., April 12.
Erickson highlighted the final day of the Tennessee Relays, breaking a 26-year-old school record in the women's long jump. Erickson took second in the event but came away with a mark of 6.30m (20' 8").
Ann Marie Duffus and Dior Delophont joined Erickson in the top five in the long jump; Duffus took fourth with a distance of 6.01m (19' 8.75"). Delophont set a new personal-record with a mark of 5.96m (19' 6.75") Saturday.
Danniel Thomas was a two-time winner on the day as she won both the Discus and Shot Put. Thomas won the discus with a mark of 56.13m (184' 2"), Joh'Vonnie Mosley took fifth with a distance of 49.44m (162' 2").
Thomas and Mosley then took first and second, respectively, in the shot put as they both set new personal-records. Thomas won with a distance of 16.33m (53' 7") and Mosley came in second with a mark of 16.18m (53' 1").
The 4x800-meter relay took home second with a time of 8:53.94, comprised of Lauren Burnett, Tabitha Jacofsky, Taylor Wickey and Hannah Fleck). The 4x400-meter relay team – Erica Hutson, Lynnese Beyan, Kaila Gardner and Jorian Ordway – took fifth with a time of 3:43.76, the fifth fastest in Kent State history.
In the Javelin throw, C.J. Carlisle took home fifth, 43.46m (142" 7"), and Anna Lombardo took 12th with a mark of 30.30m (99' 5").
Paige Foster took 12th in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 11:33.25.
The Golden Flashes next compete Fri., April 18 – Sat., April 19 in Columbus at the Jesse Owens Classic.
