
NCAA Championship Begins Tuesday for Phaewchimplee

TULSA, Okla. – Freshman Wad Phaewchimplee will represent Kent State women's golf this week at the NCAA Championship held at Tulsa Country Club May 20-23.
Phaewchimplee is the third Golden Flash all-time to qualify as an individual for the event. She did so by winning the NCAA Central Regional with a seven-under performance, totaling a 209 in the three rounds that matched the second-best 54-hole tournament score in Kent State history. She will enter the tournament with a 74.6 scoring average through nine events in her short Kent State career.
The Bangkok, Thailand native will tee off in the opening round at 8:25am on Tuesday, May 20 from the 1st tee. For the second round on Wednesday, she will tee off at 12:45pm from the 10th tee. The final two rounds will be Thursday and Friday with tee times at 8:25am and 12:45pm, respectively.
