T&F Throwers Head to Findlay Open Friday

Kent State's track programs send the throwers to the Findlay Open this Friday, January 30th in Findlay, Ohio to compete in the Elite throws competitions.
Looking to compete this Friday at the Findlay Open are Danniel Thomas, Jackie Leppelmeier, Rebecca Leppelmeier, Elizabeth Clippinger, Reggie Jagers and Matthias Tayala.

Last time out ... Akron Dual
The last time the throwers saw action was at the Akron Dual hosted at the Stile Field House on January 16, in Akron, Ohio.
Danniel Thomas finished first in the women's shot put with a distance of 16.48m (54' 10"). Jackie Leppelmeier placed third with a mark of 14.89m (48' 10.25").
In the men's shot put, Michael King took first with a distance of 17.19m (56' 4.75"). David Paliscak followed in second place with a distance of 16.97m (55' 8.25"). Placing in fourth was Matthias Tayala with a distance of 16.01m (52' 6.5").
Jackie Leppelmeier wrapped up her night when she competed in the women's weight throw, coming in third with a distance of 19.51m (64' 0.25). Rebecca Leppelmeier and Elizabeth Clippinger also finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Rebecca Leppelmeier finished with a mark of 16.03m (52' 7.25") and Clippinger at 15.21m (49' 11").
On the men's side, Tayala placed first in the weight throw with a heave of 21.36m (70' 10"). Reggie Jagers followed in second place at 19.04m (62' 5.75'). Paliscak finished in sixth with a distance of 16.20m (53' 10.75").
Flashback ... Findlay Open
At the previous Findlay Open on January 31, 2014, Joh'Vonnie Mosley and Danniel Thomas both competed in the women's shot put. Mosley came in third with a distance of 16.00m (52'6") and Thomas came in, 15.96m (52' 4.5").
Michael King and Samuel Groves competed in the men's shot put, as King came in eighth place 17.80m (58' 4.75") and Groves in 11th place, 14.45m (47' 5").
In the women's weight throw, Jackie Leppelmeier came in second with a distance of 21.14m (69' 4.25") and Elizabeth Clippinger came in 15th with a distance of 14.25m (47' 7.75").
Reggie Jagers came in fourth place in the men's weight throw with a distance of 18.20m (59' 8.5").

Kent State returns to action when they spilt up and head to the Akron Invitational and the Meyo Invitational on February 6th and 7th.
