Game Times Changed for This Weekend's Home Baseball Series

Kent State (10-10, 1-2 MAC) will host Eastern Michigan (8-14, 1-2 MAC) for the second weekend of Mid-American Conference play. Game times on Friday and Saturday have been moved to 2 p.m. Sunday's finale remains scheduled at 1 p.m.

KENT STATE – EMU HISTORY
• Kent State is 60-41 all-time against Eastern Michigan
• Last season, the Golden Flashes took the first two games 10-2 and 6-1 then dropped the finale in Ypsilanti, 1-2
• Prior to the 2014 season, the two teams did not meet in a conference weekend in 2012 or 2013
• In 2011, Kent State swept the weekend series then won two of three meetings with Eastern Michigan in the MAC Tournament
• The Eagles started conference play last weekend at home against Akron. They dropped the opener 2-6, won the second game 3-1 then dropped the series with a 1-3 finale loss
• Most recently, they beat Wayne State at home on Wednesday 10-6
SPRING BREAK TRIP RECAP
• The Golden Flashes are coming off a five-game roadtrip over the school's spring break
• The trip started with the MAC-opening series at Toledo where Kent State dropped the first two games before winning the third on Sunday
• The team then went on to beat Purdue on Tuesday 4-3 before closing the roadtrip with a 9-4 loss at No. 17 Illinois

• Kent State is 3rd in the conference with a team batting average of .285 and is 2nd with a team ERA of 3.26
• Zarley Zalewski is 3rd in the conference in batting average and has the best on-base percentage
• Luke Burch is 6th in batting average and is tied for the lead in stolen bases
• Eric Lauer's ERA is the 3rd lowest and he is also ranked 3rd in strikeouts
• Nick Jensen-Clagg leads the MAC in strikeouts with 43, is 7th in ERA and is tied for the most wins with four. His opposing batting average ranks 5th

• Sawyer Polen currently has 484 career assists, which ranks as the 5th most of all-time in the Kent State record books. He needs 51 more to jump up to 4th place
