KENT, Ohio – The No. 16 Kent State men's golf team will wrap up its fall season this week at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, hosted by Baylor, at the par-71 Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
The three-round tournament begins Monday with 36 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m. CST in a shotgun start. The final round will begin Tuesday at 8:15 a.m.
Kent State will continue a strong fall season against a field including: No. 10 Baylor, Charlotte, Houston, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Pepperdine, SMU and UT Arlington. The field will consist of 72 players, with six players competing in each team's lineup and six additional players competing as individuals.
The fall finale allows the Golden Flashes to put a stamp on a strong season. The team started the year outside of the national rankings and set its sights on a top-25 finish to the fall. The Flashes instantly catapulted themselves in the national conversation, reaching as high as ninth in all of the NCAA. A tournament victory would be the team's second of the fall and would give them nine wins over top-50 teams.
