The Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday that four Kent State women's basketball students have received Academic All-MAC honors for the 2015-16 season.
Naddiyah Cross, Tyra James, Jordan Korinek and Larissa Lurken all were named for achieving at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA, are in their second year of residency and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
This is the second year in a row that four Golden Flashes made the Academic All-MAC team. Korinek was also named CoSIDA Academic All-District and is one of just five students honored by the MAC to have a perfect 4.0. This is the second time Lurken has received the award while Cross and James were named in their first year being eligible.
All honorees will now go into consideration for the conference's Distinguished Scholar Athlete award, voted on by the 12 schools' faculty academic representatives.
