
Field Hockey Falls at Penn State in Preseason Tuneup

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Kent State's lone tuneup for the 2016 field hockey season ended in a 6-1 exhibition loss to the Nittany Lions on Wednesday at the Penn State Field Hockey Complex.
The Flashes posted their goal when senior Krysti Lober won a corner and then scored with 31 minutes remaining in the second half. The goal cut into what had been a 3-0 Penn State lead at halftime.
Kent State will open the season on Friday, Aug. 26 when Michigan State visits Murphy-Mellis Field for a noon start. The home-opening weekend continues on Saturday, Aug. 27 when the Flashes host Villanova.
