
Soccer to Hold Senior Night at Dix Stadium Friday Night

Kent State soccer (3-1-0) will honor its five seniors on Friday, Sept. 16 prior to its 7 p.m. matchup with Indiana State (4-4-0) from inside Dix Stadium. This year's seniors include: Jenna Hellstrom, Abigail LaVigna, Abbie Lawson, Brittany Maisano and Morgan Williams.
The Golden Flashes are coming off 2-1, double overtime win over Pittsburgh in which Karli Paracca netted the golden goal in the 102nd minute. Jenna Hellstrom scored the first goal for the Flashes and added an assist on the Paracca goal.
RANKING THE GOLDEN FLASHES
• With their 3-1-0 record so far this season, the Golden Flashes rank first in the MAC East Division.
• As a team the Golden Flashes rank second in the MAC in assists per game (1.50) and goals allowed (5).
• Freshman Maddie LaVigna ranks first in the MAC in assists per game (0.5).
• Jenna Hellstrom ranks second in the MAC in points per game (2.25) and goals (1.0).
• Hellstrom needs one point to become Kent State's all-time leader in points.
THE MATCHUP
• Friday's match marks the first competition between the Golden Flashes and the Sycamores.
• Indiana State is coming off a 7-0 defeat of Chicago State in which midfielder scored Lindsey Anstine scored two goals and defender Katie Wells recorded three assists.
• Goalie Brittany San Roman recorded her fourth shutout of the season in the win over Chicago State
• Senior Maddie Orf leads the team with three goals and eight points this season.
