
No. 12 Women's Golf Heads West for BYU Tournament

KENT, Ohio – The No. 12 Kent State women's golf team is set for its third tournament of the spring, the BYU at Entrada Classic March 13-14, being played at Entrada at Snow Canyon.
The tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday, with an 8:30 a.m. MT shotgun start. The tournament will conclude Tuesday with the final round.
Facing off against the Flashes is a West-heavy field, consisting of: BYU, Boise State, Gonzaga, Iowa, Rutgers, San Francisco, SUU, UT-San Antonio, Tulsa, Utah Valley State and Wyoming.
The Flashes are rolling through the spring season, coming off a second place finish at The Dickson. The Golden Flashes earned their second straight runner up finish with an overall score of 3-over par 867. After posting scores of 284 and 291 Monday, Kent State ended the tournament with a third-round score of 4-over par 292. The Flashes topped seven top-50 ranked teams.
Entering the tournament, Kent State now has three golfers in the top-70. The group is led by No. 11 Pimnipa Panthong, who is approaching the NCAA's top-10 golfers as a freshman. She is followed by No. 58 Michaela Finn and No. 61 Wad Phaewchimplee.
