Kent State Ready for Three Matches on the Road

The Golden Flashes (0-2) will face three different opponents in five days as they look to right their record. Kent State travels to Saint Francis (1-1) for a 3 p.m. game on Friday before making a trip to Columbus. The team will host No. 9 Louisville (2-0) at Ohio State in a noon match on Sunday. The trip will conclude with a 3 p.m. game against the host Buckeyes (1-0) on Tuesday, September 5.

Saint Francis
• Kent State is 2-1 all-time against Saint Francis
• The Golden Flashes and Red Flash met in Kent in 2016 with the Flashes winning 3-0

• Entering her 12th season in 2017, Wiler has 124 wins to her credit, three away from standing alone as the winningest coach in KSU field hockey history
• The five-time MAC Coach of the Year already holds the most MAC regular season titles (8) and MAC Tournament wins (5)
• She has guided four players to All-America status and has also seen her teams continually break academic records
Looking Ahead
• The Golden Flashes will remain on the road after Ohio State and head to Evanston, Illinois, for two matchups
• Kent State will play Temple on Saturday, September 9 at 1 p.m. CST/2 p.m. EST
• They will close out the weekend against host Northwestern on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. CST/1:30 p.m. EST
• Mid-American Conference play is set to begin Friday, September 15 at conference-newcomer Appalachian State
• The 2017 home-opener is slated for Friday, September 29 against Miami
• Kent State will once again be the host for the 2017 MAC Tournament played at Murphy-Mellis Field November 3-4
