Kent State Lacrosse announced the addition of nine student-athletes – Skyler Johnson, Delaney Knipp, Maddy Flannigan, Jordan Zablo, Megan French, Allison Kortowich, Kenzie Sklar, Lexi Piekarski, and Morgan Kubicki.
"I am thrilled that these young ladies have chosen to continue their academic and athletic careers here at Kent State," said head coach Brianne Tierney. "They are a fantastic class that will help to push our program forward in many ways. Their overall work ethic is evident in both their individual academic successes and success on the lacrosse field and we expect that will continue as they pursue their degrees here at Kent State University."
Johnson is a crease attacker who joins the Golden Flashes from San Marcos, California where she competed for the Fighting Knights. During her high school career, Johnson helped her team to win the 2017 Division I Lacrosse Championships and the 2018 League Championships.
Knipp is a Newport Beach, California native and is a dual sport athlete in field hockey and lacrosse. Throughout her high school career, Knipp has scored 46 goals, recorded 8 assists, 62 ground balls and won 68 percent of draws. As team MVP, Knipp was voted 2nd Team All Sunset League. In Field Hockey, Knipp's accolades included the Sunset League's Most Valuable Midfielder, CIF Tournament of Champions All-Tournament Team and Sunset League Scholastic Team Award.
Flannigan – the signing class' only goalie – comes from Peterborough, Ontario and has placed as an OFSSA Varsity Women's Field Lacrosse medalist four times. Flannigan is also a multi-sport athlete winning varsity letters in rugby, hockey and lacrosse.

Her strong defensive play has helped the Braves to 2017 Section V Class B lacrosse championship. French was chosen as a 2017 Semper Fidelis All-American and is a member of the National Honors Society.
