Last Time Out
The Kent State Lacrosse team opened up their season with a big comeback victory on the road. The Flashes defeated Lindenwood by a score of 12-11 on an overtime game-winning goal from senior Lizzie Lundeen, who finished the game with five goals.
KSU scored six of the last eight goals in the fourth quarter after entering the frame down 9-6. Zayda Crumpton scored the final two goals in regulation for the Flashes before the Lions would tie it back up with under three minutes to go.
Lundeen's five goals was good enough for a game-high best between both teams, while Crumpton also contributed five points off of three goals and two assists. Morgan Halli chipped in two goals for the visitors while Riley Floyd finished with two assists. Eva Anderson also produced a goal and an assist in the win.
Leading the way on the defensive end for the Flashes was sophomore Anna Zucconi who caused four turnovers while picking up four ground balls. Sydney-Davis had a game-high 14 saves in net for the Blue and Gold.Â

Series History
Saturday will mark the second all-time meeting between the Lakers and the Golden Flashes as the first meeting came last year. Kent State won that game by a score of 14-8 in Erie, Pennsylvania.
