Field Hockey Announces 2018 Schedule

KENT, Ohio-The Kent State University field hockey team has released its schedule for the 2018 season, which includes 19 regular season matches in addition to an exhibition and the Mid-American Conference Tournament to be held Nov. 2-3.
The Golden Flashes will gear up for the regular season with an exhibition game at home against MAC opponent, Ohio University on Aug. 19.
The Flashes will then begin a competitive non-conference schedule, which includes hosting Northwestern University at Murphy-Mellis Field on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Last season, the No. 10 Wildcats made an impressive post-season run that ended at the NCAA Quarterfinals, falling to No.3 Michigan.
The Golden Flashes will also face Penn State University on the road on Friday, Sept. 7. In 2017, the No. 6 Nittany Lions finished the season falling to the University of Connecticut in the NCAA Quarterfinals 4-3. The Huskies would go on to win the National Championship.
Looking to return to the Mid-American Conference Tournament, Kent State will kick off the conference schedule at Miami University on Saturday, Sept. 22.
