
No. 6 Women’s Golf Closes Out Fall Schedule at Betsy Rawls Invitational

KENT, Ohio- The No. 6 Kent State women's golf team hits the road this weekend for the final time this fall as they compete in the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas.
The Flashes are coming off their third-straight tournament win as they were crowned champions at the Illini Invitational. Kent State took first place with an 11-under score, while senior Pimnipa Panthong finished tied for fifth with a 5-under 211. Kent State hopes to extend its win streak to four this weekend as the last time the Flashes won four-straight tournaments was during the 2015-16 season.

Last season, the Flashes finished second at the Betsy Rawls Invitational with a 3-under 861 score. Karoline Stormo and Panthong hold the third-lowest 18-hole individual record at the Betsy Rawls Invitational after posting a 67 score. Stormo landed her name in the record book last season, while Panthong set the record in 2016.
