Flashes Shutout by Redhawks in Road Finale

OXFORD, Ohio – The Kent State women's soccer team (5-9-3, 3-5-2 MAC) was held scoreless by the Miami Redhawks (4-12-1, 3-6-1 MAC) in a 2-0 defeat, despite outshooting its opposition, 27-10.
The Flashes were firing shots left and right against the Redhawks, but managed only 11 shots on goal. The Redhawks used just three shots on goal and an own goal by Kent State to emerge victorious.
Miami scored their first goal by way of Kent State's defense on an own goal after a cross into the box. Their second goal came via Kennedy Gray in the 64th minute.
Vital Kats led the Flashes with 10 shots and seven shots on goal, but could not get past Miami's Izzie Vaccari who managed 11 saves on the day.
The Flashes wrap up their regular season in spooky fashion with a Halloween game on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m. against Ohio at Dix Stadium.
