No. 9 to Compete in ICON Invitational

KENT, Ohio- The No. 9 Kent State University women's golf team will travel to Texas to compete in the ICON Invitational, hosted by Houston February 25-26 at the Woodlands Country Club.
Kent State is coming off its third tournament championship win of the season (Lady Puerto Rico Challenge) and sixth-straight top-2 finish.
The 54-hole tournament takes place on the par 72 / 6,392-yard Tournament Course, which has hosted events on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour. Last season, Kent State finished fourth in the rain-shortened event at 4-over par.
Three ranked teams along with the Flashes highlight the 17-team field, including No. 18 Clemson and No. 20 TCU. In addition, host institution Houston, Baylor, Kansas State, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Purdue, SMU, Southern Miss, Texas State, Texas Tech and UTSA round out the field.
The Flashes lineup will be senior Michaela Finn, juniors Karoline Stormo and Pimnipa Panthong, sophomore Chloe Salort, and freshman Thitapa Pakdeesettaul.
The tournament begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, followed by 36 holes of play. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com
