
Kent State Women’s Golf Sets Eyes on BYU at Entrada Title

KENT, Ohio- Kent State takes on the BYU at Entrada Classic Tuesday and Wednesday (March 12-13) in St. George, Utah. Once again, BYU and the Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club will host the two-day, 54-hole tournament. Fourteen teams will compete on the par-72, 6,098 yard course.
Action begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM Eastern/ 6:30 AM Mountain for 36 holes on Monday. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
The Competition
The Golden Flashes enter as the No. 12 ranked teamin the country. The rest of the field included BYU, Boise State, Colorado State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, Texas Tech, UTSA, Utah Valley, and Wyoming.
The Lineup
Kent State's lineup features senior Michaela Finn (as an individual), juniors Pimnipa Panthong, Karoline Stormo, sophomores Kory Nielsen, Chole Salort, and freshmen Thitapa Pakdeesettakul.
Last Time Out
In the ICON Invitational, Kent State finished in third place in Houston. Juniors Stormo and Panthong fueled the Flashes' 8-under round. Panthong's ace on the 14th hole led to a 4-under 68, tying for the second best round of the day.
Last Season
The Golden Flashes finished second in the 2018 BYU at Entrada Classic. Host BYU won with a total of 864 as Kent State stayed strong behind with a total of 866. Panthong earned medalist honors and The Flashes had two top five finishes as sophomore Stormo carded an even 216 for the tournament.
