
Flashes and Pakdeesettakul Take BYU Entrada Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah- Freshman Thitapa Pakdeesettakul earned medalist honors at the BYU at Entrada Classic, while No. 12 Kent State finished first to win its fourth tournament of the season.
This is Pakdeesettakul's first career-college win, making it 24 individual wins by eight players from the Flashes in the last six years. The freshman finished the tournament with a 4-under 212 score after she finished the final round at 1-under.
The Flashes had two others finish in the top-10 as Pimnipa Panthong and Chloe Salort carded a 1-over 216 for the tournament. Panthong shot her best round this afternoon and fired a 3-under 69, while Salort improved with a 1-under 71 final-round score.
Karoline Stormo placed 11th with a 3-over 219 tournament total. She finished the day at 3-over. Kory Nielsen mirrored her first round score in the final round with a 1-over 73 and finished tied for 32nd at 10-over 226.
Senior Michaela Finn competed as an individual and finished tied for third with an even-par tournament score. Finn shot the lowest round of the tournament this afternoon with a 5-under 67 score. Finn birdied six times in the final round and only had one bogey.
As a team, Kent State led the way with a 36-round total of 3-under 861. The Flashes led second-place Texas Tech by four shots and third place Idaho by 28 shots.
Pimnipa Panthong finished the tournament tied for seventh after she carded her best round of the tournament this afternoon. In the final round, Panthong fired a 3-under 69 after she eagled on the first hole No.1 for the second time of the tournament. For the tournament, Panthong carded a three-round score of 1-over 216.
Kent State is back in the swing as they compete in the Evans Derby Experience March 23-25 in Auburn, Ala.
