Flashes Fall in First ASUN Conference Game

Conway, S.C. – The Kent State lacrosse team (0-10, 0-1 ASUN) dropped its first ASUN Conference matchup in program history to Coastal Carolina (6-2, 1-0 ASUN). The Chanticleers picked up a 19-2 victory.
Lluna Katz scored her 14th goal of the season in the first half on an assist from Abby Jones. Jones fired a second-half goal for the Golden Flashes, her 16th of the season. She leads the Flashes with 10 assists on the year.
Jones and Anna Woodhams led the Flashes with three draw controls a piece, while Meghan Cawood led the team with three ground balls.
Coastal Carolina was led by a trio of Madeline Bromley (3g, 5a), Megan Busch (3g, 4a) and Haley Alexander (3g, 3a). Alexander led the Chanticleers with four draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Up Next
The Flashes will be back home to host Delaware State and Howard for two games in three days, March 29 and 31. After the home stand, Kent State will head to Florida for a two-game road trip against Stetson and Jacksonville.
