
Kent State Golf Set For NCAA Pullman Regional

KENT, Ohio- The Kent State men's golf team looks to advance to its third consecutive NCAA Championship at the NCAA Pullman Regional this week. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is taking place Monday through Wednesday (May 13-15) at the par-70, 7,232-yard Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash.
The regional is one of six 54-hole preliminary events for the NCAA Championship finals. The low five teams and low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship, scheduled for May 24-29 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Flashes, who are the No. 11 seed at the Pullman Regional, are returning to competition after they earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship by winning the MAC Championship two weeks ago.
Kent State's lineup for the NCAA Pullman Regional will include seniors Bjarki Petursson and Gisli Sveinbergsson, junior Chris Doody, and sophomores Will Kurtz and Josh Gilkison. Freshman Julien Paltrinieri will travel as the team's alternate.
The Flashes will tee off from hole No. 10 starting at 8:55 a.m. PDT. Kent State will be paired with Purdue and Northern Colorado. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
