
Kent State Loses on the Road to No. 9 Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich.- The Kent State field hockey team fell 4-0 to No. 9 Michigan at Ocker Field on Sunday afternoon.
Senior Kourtney Keller led the offensive efforts for Kent State with two shots and one on target. Senior Laila Richter also added a shot for the Flashes.
Kent State's best scoring opportunity came in the second period with a penalty corner in the 26th-minute.
The Wolverines led in shots (23-3), shots on goal (15-2), and penalty corners (7-1). Senior goalkeeper Mary Crumlish made her first start of the season and registered 10 saves.
Kent State returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 28 as the Flashes host Ohio at noon on Murphy-Mellis Field to open Conference play.
